Add deep, controlled bass to your home cinema or stereo system with the Wharfedale WH-D10 active subwoofer. A 10-inch long-throw driver, 150W Class D amplifier, and sealed box design deliver fast, accurate low-frequency performance from 35Hz. Order yours today.
The Wharfedale WH-D10 is an active subwoofer built to deliver bass that is felt as much as it is heard. A 10-inch long-throw cone driver paired with a custom-designed 150W Class D balanced drive amplifier produces the kind of low-frequency performance that transforms both film soundtracks and music listening into a genuinely physical experience.
The sealed box enclosure is a deliberate engineering choice. Where ported designs prioritise extended low-frequency output, a sealed box delivers faster transient response and tighter, more accurate bass. This makes the WH-D10 equally at home with music as it is with cinema, handling the deep, sustained bass lines of a film score with the same precision it applies to the kick drum and bass guitar in a music track.
Frequency response extends from 35Hz to 150Hz within plus or minus 3dB, covering the full range of low-frequency content in 5.1 and stereo programme material. Peak power output of 300W provides headroom for sudden, dynamic bass transients without compression or distortion. The signal-to-noise ratio of greater than 85dB keeps the noise floor low, and average maximum output of 110dB at one metre means it will pressurize any domestic listening room with authority.
Connectivity is comprehensive. Stereo line inputs via two RCA phono connectors accommodate left and right pre-out feeds from a stereo amplifier or AV receiver, while a dedicated mono LFE RCA input handles the discrete subwoofer channel from a surround sound processor directly. A high-pass output allows the WH-D10 to be integrated into more complex system configurations.
The adjustable low-pass filter crossover ranging from 30Hz to 150Hz allows precise matching to the roll-off point of the main speakers in the system. Phase inversion and low-pass filter slope adjustment provide additional tuning flexibility for difficult room placements. Auto on and off switching means the subwoofer powers down when no signal is present and wakes instantly when programme material resumes.
Compact enough to place beside a sofa, at the front, rear, or sides of the listening room, the WH-D10 fits discreetly into most room layouts. Spikes are included as standard for stable floor coupling on carpet.
